真正的灾难是精神上的灾难

 

这并不是最坏的时代，我们穆斯林不应当过于消极，历史上曾有过更糟糕的时代。这个时代的确有不好的方面，可这个时代最大的灾难之一，就是学者以及信仰的缺失。然而，就尘世的灾难而言，这个阶段不值一提，若你读读历史，这个阶段真的什么都不是。

这个时代真正的灾难，是精神上的灾难，而非俗世的灾难。若我们真要因这个时代而哭泣，我们就应当为信仰及精神的缺失而哭泣。

These are not bad times. Muslims should not be so negative, there has been much worse times. There are aspects that are bad about this time and certainly one of the greatest calamities of the time is that we do not have a lot of people of knowledge any more and we do not have the levels of deen and things like this, but just in terms of outward dunya calamities, this period is nothing; if you read history, this period is nothing.

 

The real calamities of this age are spiritual calamities, they are not worldly calamities. So if we are going to weep over the calamities of this age we should be weeping about the lack of religion, about the lack of spirituality, etc.
